I believe that many projects go on without public concern. To me this project seems like a bad idea due to the scientific projections of increased CO2 emissions. Although not mentioned in the article, I also believe that making trips easier and faster to Vancouver, will ultimately increase the desirability of living there, and in turn provide an avenue for urban sprawl.
